Casino Alicante Dress Code

Alicante is a beautiful city. It’s located on the Mediterranean coast, which is a perfect place for enjoying the endless sea, the cool sea breeze and warm sunsets.

Casino Mediterraneo Alicante sits in this relaxing environment, on the sea coast, inviting all passers-by to spend the evening in action, Spanish style. It’s even more enjoyable after a peaceful walk along the coast.

But can you walk in with just your swimwear and flip-flops on? If you could, most people would definitely drop by on their way. Unfortunately, that’s not exactly the case.

Casino Alicante Isn’t Huge

Casino Mediterraneo Alicante doesn’t ask for much from their visitors and casual attire is usually just fine. After all, the casino is quite small, so don’t expect a palace full of royal halls, dozens of different gambling halls and world-class restaurants.

Of course, there are some restaurants, venues and many different gambling games on offer, but nothing that would blow your mind. Just like Alicante itself, this is a cosy resort with the ‘quality over quantity’ attitude.

Casino Mediterraneo Alicante Services

The casino and hotel are located in a resort of almost 40,000 square feet. Gambling facilities can occupy hundreds of people at once by offering more than 30 table games and almost 100 slot and other gaming machines. As for other services, there are several options to choose from:

  • Poker Room
  • Convention Centre
  • Paramount Comedy
  • Art al Casino
  • Sports Booths and TVs
  • Azar Restaurant
  • Las ventanas del Casino

Casino Mediterraneo Alicante Dress Code

Officially, the dress code at Casino Alicante is smart casual or proper casual. There are no requirements that would force you to try too hard. For example, ties and jackets are definitely not necessary, and evening dresses are also not required.

In fact, you might even stand out from the crowd in some cases if you went there in your best outfit.

On the other hand, it doesn’t mean that everything is allowed. It’s also important to keep in mind that the casino is only open from 4 PM to 4 AM every night.

What this means is that it doesn’t work in the mornings, which is usually the time when dress code is not as strict and the staff generally doesn’t bother about people that are ‘too casual’.

Here, you will have to put on something that you would for any public occasion, at least.

Some Dress Code Suggestions

Women will do just fine at Casino Alicante with most casual attire choices:

  • Blouses
  • Sweaters
  • Hoodies
  • Jumpsuits
  • T-shirts
  • Jackets
  • Skirts
  • Non-sports leggings
  • Trousers
  • Tights
  • Overalls

For men, the rules are just as forgiving. If you put on some of the following, you should be allowed in no problem:

  • Sweatshirts
  • Shirts
  • Cardigans
  • T-shirts
  • Hoodies
  • Vests
  • Jeans
  • Shorts
  • Trousers
  • Baggy pants

The DON’Ts at Casino Alicante

Since the options are so wide, focusing on what’s not allowed instead would probably be more effective. In fact, there isn’t much tell because most dress styles are acceptable.

What you should avoid is beachwear like bikinis, swimsuits, swim shorts and briefs. You can, of course, put something on top and you’ll be fine if you’re coming straight from the beach or a pool.

Also, think about what you would wear if you went to a restaurant, a movie or simply a night out and base your decision on that. The basic rules such as no dirty or tattered clothes apply too.

Dress Code at Different Casino Halls and Venues

What about different areas in the casino, you may ask. Does casual dress code apply everywhere?

As always, a lot depends on each particular example or an event, when there are any. Let’s take a closer look at different sections of Casino Mediterraneo Alicante.

Poker Room

Casino Alicante does host poker tournaments from time to time and holds private poker evenings. The dress code may depend on the particular event. However, it’s pretty much the same in all the usual cases.

If the poker room is open for joining by anyone at the time of your visit, you can rest assured that the same style that got you into the casino will be just fine at the poker table.

Convention Centre, Paramount Comedy and Art al Casino

Aside from the gambling games, sports betting services, restaurants and other services, Casino Alicante has room for conferences and culture too.

Convention Centre is the one place for business meetings, conferences or any public gatherings that take place over there from time to time.

Once again, the dress code highly depends on the event and clearly might surpass the rules of the casino. If you’re here for a conference, you’ll naturally want a more professional look.

Paramount Comedy and Art al Casino doesn’t have a business dress code, but smart casual should be the aim in this case.

Paramount Comedy is a venue where stand-up comedians usually perform, so a nice evening dress and a costume for men may be the top choices.

Speaking of Art al Casino, we would recommend something smarter too because it’s the centre for art exhibitions at the Mediterraneo Alicante resort.

Azar Restaurant

The restaurants at Casino Alicante aren’t the most exquisite ones, but they should be just right for casual tourists and local visitors.

Azar Restaurant is one of the two restaurants in the resort and it focuses more on its dishes and dinners. Casual dress code is accepted at Azar Restaurant, but you can totally dress up for the occasion if you wish so.

On the menu, you’ll find steaks, salads, desserts, pastries, coffee, cocktails and wine. Azar Restaurant is open every day from 4 PM to 1 AM.

Las Ventanas Del Casino

Serving lunches, dinners, a variety of beverages and alcoholic drinks, it’s the best spot to visit after a gambling session at the casino. If you’re dressed in the style that’s accepted at the casino, you’ll be fine at this restaurant as well.

There you’ll be able to choose from a larger selection of alcoholic drinks, cocktails, wines and appetizers than at Azar Restaurant.  This destination is also open every day, from 8:30 PM to 3 AM.
